Karen Adkins
MS, CCC-SLP
Clinic Director

My family and I moved to Fort Collins in 2020 and we are so happy to be here. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development from UC Davis, a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington, and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific. I have enjoyed working in private practices in both CA and AZ where I had the opportunity to work and learn alongside therapists in other disciplines. I have experience working with children and young adults in the areas of feeding development, articulation, expressive/receptive language development, pragmatic language, phonological processing, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), cleft palate, and fluency. I have a particular passion for family-oriented early childhood intervention and working with the PODD communication system. I am trained in The SOS Approach to Feeding and PROMPT. In my free time you will find me hiking, playing with my daughter, or enjoying a good book with a hot cup of tea!
